Dentures

Dentures: the treatment process

1. Your Kreate Dental dentist will take an impression of your mouth, enabling your new dentures to be made at the dental lab, according to your exact needs and specifications.

2. If you need to have some teeth removed before getting your dentures fitted, we will do that here at Kreate Dental. If so, we may provide you with a short-term denture to wear to restore your smile and help your gums heal naturally.

Five advantages of dentures

Dentures can restore your ability to speak and eat properly, so you can enjoy your favourite foods and talk without difficulty.

Dentures can improve the appearance of your smile, giving you a full set of teeth, restoring the natural shape of your face and helping to maintain the structure of the jaw.

You can easily remove your dentures for cleaning and maintenance , so you can make them work around your lifestyle.

Dentures can be a more affordable option than other teeth replacement treatments like dental implants or bridges.

Custom-made of extremely durable material, dentures can last for many years with the right oral care.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions about dentures at Kreate Dental Rugby

How do I take care of my dentures?

Arrow Down | Bow Lane Dental Group in London

It's important to brush your dentures daily, and to store them in water or denture solution when you’re not wearing them. You should also avoid using hot water or harsh chemicals to clean them.

What foods can I eat when wearing dentures?

Arrow Down | Bow Lane Dental Group in London

Dentures can restore your ability to eat normally, although it may take some time to get used to wearing them. It's important to start with soft foods and gradually introduce harder, chewier foods over time.

Can I sleep with my dentures in?

Arrow Down | Bow Lane Dental Group in London

We usually recommend that you remove your dentures before sleeping, to allow the gums to rest and prevent gum irritation or infection. If your dentist recommends otherwise, they will discuss this with you during your appointment at Kreate Dental.

How long will my dentures last?

Arrow Down | Bow Lane Dental Group in London

If they’re properly taken care of, dentures can last up to 10 years, if not even longer. They may need to be adjusted or replaced over time, as your mouth changes shape or the denture material wears down.
